REST API calls to delete issues intermittently results in 500 responses

      Issue Summary

      500 error responses are intermittently returned to requests to delete issue using the Jira REST API.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Invoke the Jira REST API to delete an issue.

      Expected Results

      500 HTTTP error response is never returned.

      Actual Results

      500 HTTTP error responses are intermittently observed. One occurrence was at 2021-03-11 09:10:30,019. Further details that should not be shared publicly will be provided separately.

      Workaround

      Attempt a retry, the issue is transient and will generally work on a subsequent attempt.

            Hi everyone,

            Thank you for previously raising this bug and bringing it to our attention.

            Within our company roadmap and work capacity, we try to address or review each bug request but admit that not each one will be resolved. To continue the culture of being honest and open, we are closing this bug to focus on our upcoming roadmap for all Jira users.
