Summary

By now, it's not possible to copy Attachments through an Automation rule. This is not something doable through an Edit Issue fields, Clone Issue or Create Issue action as also there is no "Copy attachments" action available.

Expected Results

It would be nice to copy attachments between issues through an Automation rule when needed.

Actual Results

Today, when creating/cloning an issue and copying fields from another issue, it's not possible to also copy the attachments, what implies manual work.

Workaround

There is no workaround available at this moment.

Update

We have enhanced the "Clone Issue", "Create Issue", "Edit Issue", "Transition Issue" and "Create service request" action component in A4J (automation in Jira Software and Jira Service Management) to allow users to select the “Attachments” from the list of supported issue fields. Now, the action component can create a new issue and copy across all field data possible, including the ability to copy attachments.
