Issue Summary
Unable to removed field description on field configuration.
When you remove the field description from the Field Configuration page, Jira automatically fills the description with the one suitable for the user profile.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a description to the field on field configuration
- Add a description to the field on custom fields page
- Remove the description from the field on field configuration
The description on custom fields page will be added by default.
OR
- Add a description to the field on field configuration
- Add a translation for the description
- Remove the description from the field on field configuration
The description on translation page will be added by default.
Expected Results
Description is blank
Actual Results
Description is filled by default
Workaround
Clear the description on custom field page before clearing if on field configuration. You may need to change your profile to a language with no translation before updating the field configuration.
