Automation notification for single users and project lead

When you are selecting the recipient of the email message, it doesn't have the option to add a single user (search for the users) or project lead. 

Expected results: When searching, I was able to find the users or add project lead.

Actual results: When searching, I was not able to find single users or even the project lead option.
