It would be great to have Jira Cloud available via a pwa as they are much lighter weight than native apps.

Example: Twitter.com, where there's a "+" icon in the address bar.

            [JRACLOUD-74462] PWA for Jira Cloud

Just having the widgets for mac would be awesome, i am fine using Jira in the browser.

How the Atlassian team continues to ignore this is beyond frustrating.

I'll throw my support behind this as well. Jira can be a very resource hungry experience. Going down the PWA route would help to alleviate this, along with all the niceties that come with a PWA.

+ 100 for this please. As Chris above said, just a simple manifest file could achieve what we want with minimal work. Don't need a functioning service worker etc.

Just having open Jira pages behave like App windows (icon appearance, grouping) in the OS, would be what I'm looking for.

No fancy integrations, offline, etc. required, in order to derive value.

I try to accomplish this by creating a Windowed Shortcut in Chrome, but different pages in Jira get seen as outside the application, and if added separately, a distinct, secondary Jira application.

I expect that the right manifest, curated by the web developers, could easily lick these issues.

I want this too. Please make it happen.

+1 I support the idea 100%. Having an icon in the Applications menu (Mac) is just so much more convenient because Jira is not just another site that one opens to browse on it it is a program for me and it should behave like one. Anc service-workers in the browser engine work totally cross-platform.

Make this happen quickly!  PWA is so versatile for Windows or Mac or even mobile items.  Not that it is perfect, but it is much better than having a browser tab open and less resources than Electron.

This is a great idea, let's hope they react quickly and get this done in 6-7 years tops!
