Open New Jira Issue View from a Connect App

We love the new issue view in Jira Cloud! Especially that it allows you to see the details of an issue quickly and easily.

Unfortunately we cannot offer our customers the same feature as there is no way for us to open the new Issue View from within a Connect App.

This has been a long-standing (and REALLY easily fixed) short-coming in Jira as there has never been an open Edit Issue Dialog API either.

Can we please add the very simple API to allow Connect Apps to open the new Issue View instead of having to re-write the entire dialog in our app?
