      Hello Everyone!

We’ve now implemented the Log Work shortcut key to be “q” so as to not interfere with other pre-existing shortcut keys. This is in the process of rolling out and everyone should have access to it in the next few weeks.

      Thanks!

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1)Log in into JIRA instance
2)Click the sign "?" for help and choose Shortcuts
3)Notice that W key is used as shortcut to log work in any issue
      3)Navigate to any issue
4)Press W to access the shortcut

      Expected Results:
When the shortcut W is pressed a popup should appear to allow user to log wor as described on help section.

      Actual Results:
When W key gets a hit while viewing an issue nothing happens

      Workaround:
Manually go to More > Log Work within the issue menu.

[JRACLOUD-65878] The Log Work shortcut W is not working

Hello team, this feature in the Cloud is not working in our instance. The panel shows `q` as being the shortcut, but in fact, it's still `w`. Either this is a typo in the shortcuts panel, or maybe there's a config thing i need change since we recently migrated from prem/server?

This has now been released to all customers. The new shortcut for Log Work is 'q' so as to not interfere with other pre-existing shortcut keys.

Thanks for the suggestion, I would recommend raising this as a separate JAC ticket as it would be separate functionality to that outlined and released on this ticket. That way we can track interest in the functionality and it will be easier for others to find and vote on. Thanks!

            Hello

This is a good addition, thank you.

However, You still need to be on the task to log the time.

If I am on an epic but want to apply the time logged to a sub task, I still need to drill down to the sub task.

Is it possible that when you hit Q the window you are presented with displays a drop down box with all your tasks so you can select which one you want to had time to? This would be the real time saver.  Thank You

Hi, is there any update on enabling the W key again?

Any idea why our instances do not have the w keyboard shortcut to log work? Please advise? Thank you

using "Actions Menu" (period key . -> log work) ; does not work anymore either.

pls provide a fix. there is no working keyboard shortcut anymore for log work.

+1 ... the workaround works but a key would be much quicker please ...

            Hello,

The workaround we use for the moment is either clicking on the link to log work, or typing period key then type log and press Enter.

(Re-)Adding W as a shortcut does not seem too big of a deal, or is it ?
