      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Please allow for the ability to prevent closing an issue if all linked "is blocked by" issues are not closed. Currently, if an issue blocks other issues, it can be closed even if the issues that it is blocking are still open.

      I understand this is possible with the JIRA Workflow Toolbox for JIRA Server. However, there is no alternative for JIRA Cloud. Also sub-tasks are not a viable alternative.
