After the export procedure has been done JIRA currently displays the local path to the saved file. However, the user has to log into the server, locate the file, and FTP it locally to make use of it.

If the screen displaying the path of the saved file actually has a link to download the saved file it would be much easier to get hold of the file and use it to upload it into a new installation or back it up.
