Not able to startup JIRA

I have just installed installed the new version on a server that has been running an older version. I also installed a new JDK 1.5.0_06.

When i run startup.bat it just stops after a few second. I have been looking for simular issues, but could not find anything. I understand this might not have to do with JIRA. It is urgent to have the system up and running as soon as possible. But I do not know what to do.
