Description
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.
Need to be able to use a filter to identify a collection of open (status) bugs, then create a historical/chronological report that shows the volume of open bugs (e.g. a line chart) per day/week/month over that history. Note that "open" doesn't mean "opened" (as in the verb) but, rather, the status of open.
A couple of suggestions, that do NOT address this, I've seen via web search are:
1) Created vs Resolved Gadget - Shows the cases that are "opened" (open as a verb, not open as a status). Need the 'open status bugs' chronologically.
2) GreenHopper plugin - Shows opened vs resolved, which shows the trend in volume of open status, but not the net volume of open status bugs chronologically.
This is critical to demonstrate whether a particular release is converging on zero open bugs.
