As an Admin, I would like have a shorter retention period for JIRA Audit logs

      Problem Definition

      Audit logs can take a lot of space depending on the size of the instance. Certain users may audit logs for only a few day. However, JIRA can only be configured to have a minimum retention period of 1 month,

      Suggested Solution

      Give admins to set the retention period to few days or weeks depending on their need.

      Why this is important

      If the customer doesn't require more than a few days, then having audit logs taking much space to store one month of data isn't sensible.
