I would like to have an admin tool for customizing the wiki editor.
I love the drop down menu for adding icons / emoticons. Visual cues are powerful in making lists and illustrating status. I want to add to the list, such as when I want to use a green flag, instead of the red or grey flag provided.
We frequently use a table within a description or comment to track small details about an issue that are too small for ramping up another subtask. We update the list as the items are addressed, by changing the icon.
| Status | Description | Example | Tested Date | Test Result | Passed Date |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aspect of Issue | |||||
| Function 1 | |||||
| Function 2 | |||||
| Function 3 | 9/1/2016 | Success | 9/10/2016 | ||
| Minor bug | Misspelling of "word". |
This makes comments more manageable, because users of JIRA often offer suggestions that modify the scope of an issue slightly. A little green flag next to a users's comment means the suggestion was implemented, and so forth.
If the multi-character shortcut to be transformed into an icon, along with the path to the image file, could be a customizable table in the admin of the system, that would be great.
