Description
NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding bug report.
Summary
In Service Desk and Software projects on JIRA 7.0, adding the jira.issue.editable=false property to a step in the workflow only removes the "Edit" button, but allows for inline-editing of any field.
Expected Behavior
The property should impede any editing from happening on issues from projects of any type.
Actual Behavior
Inline-editing is allowed for any field on Software and Service Desk projects.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Software or Service Desk project;
- Add the jira.issue.editable=false property to any step of the workflow used by that project, then publish the draft;
- Create an issue under that project and transition it to the status where that property was added;
- Notice it's possible to inline-edit any field;
Workaround
Use the jira.permission.edit.denied property (with no value) instead.
