JIRA Data Center needs documentation on Multicast UDP Configuration

Summary

Currently, there is no clear documentation of the configuration of JIRA Data Center clusters with respect to the use of multicast used between nodes, this information should be disclosed in the documentation to make the product more serviceable.

Expected Results

There should be some documentation regarding Multicasting communicated in and throughout the documentation of the JIRA Data Center product.

Actual Results

No clear documentation currently exists.

Notes

JIRA Data Center allows (at least) the configuration of the following ehcache properties with regards to UDP multicasting:

• ehcache.multicast.timeToLive

• ehcache.listener.hostName

• ehcache.listener.port

• ehcache.multicast.address

• ehcache.multicast.port
