      An issue, and different resolutions tried to solve an issue are tracked by commenting on the issue.

      It would be really helpful if these comments could have numbers, such that these comments can be referenced to in future comments.

      Eg: if a testing strategy was proposed in comment:2 and several comments after, the results for the tests in comment:2 are posted, it could be posted on a new comment, with reference to comment:2 (which can be hyperlinked).

      Kindly let me know if such a feature already exists (as I do not see the comments carry any numbers on Jira), else this feature would be a great plus.
