Description
Symptoms
JIRA keeps deleted LDAP users in the system as disabled users if they have created content. When the audit log is enabled, each time a synchronisation occurs, a new "delete" entry appears in the audit log for users that have been kept disabled this way. No actual change has been made on this user.
Steps to Reproduce
- Link up JIRA to an LDAP directory
- Create a user in the LDAP directory that has access to JIRA
- Log in as that user, create some content
- Delete the user from the LDAP directory
- Synchronise the directory
- Synchronise it again and see the delete entry re-appears
Workaround
- Add the user back in the LDAP directory
- Make sure the user has no groups that give them access to JIRA, so that it doesn't use up a license
