      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      As per http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Supported+Platforms
      Internet Explorer 11 is not currently a supported platform.

      The Windows 8.1 upgrade is updating users automatically to this version of IE so official support would be welcome by this set of customers.
