            Hello there,
I see this ticket set to Resolved and a fix being announced for relase 6.1.1. Well, we are using release 6.1.7 and I see no fix. Status icons are still exported in the Excel export. What exactly is the announced fix? Is it a setting somewhere? I cannot find anything. Please provide the details of the fix or I would appreciate if you reopened the ticket.

            Hi all,
probably you already know that, but the problem arises also with Excel exports from downloaded version.
Infact the status icon wasn't included in the previous versions.

To all watching the issue, I have good news to share

This is a major issue and is a time waster. The images are not needed in an Excel export.

            I agree with Karie.
This is not a minor issue and our automated reports too doesn't work properly.
Susan's solution is temporary, but still we have to wait enormous amounts of times to download simple Excel file, and then clean the unwanted images, and then present the report. All these steps are not called for and we need an effective solution or simply rollback to the previous functionality as images are not a value addition definitely.

Seems that this is not minor if it deters users from utilizing excel exports; if the latter, then we would have a major issue because we utilize excel exports to create pivot reports for various analysis as well as additional communications. If it takes significantly longer, then users complain and won't do it. A workaround with 5 steps is not acceptable. Surprised this got through QA given the exponential increase in file size generated.

I tried Susanne's workaround and it worked well (Thanks Susanne).

However, it still adds 5 extra steps, so it is still a nuisance.

            Hi Susan,
Thanks for the Excel technique. Its amazing and works.
But the bottomline is that huge time taken to download the issues in Excel format. This needs to be fixed somehow.

Another issue I noted and raised separately is: order of fields in Jira filter is not preserved. There is some change in this functionality. Every time you need to log off and log on to Jira to affect these changes. Any observers on this issue?

            Regards,
