Searching for issues which have underscore in their summary does not come up in JIRA

How to reproduce?

Create an issue with a summary like: ABD_ON_SHINE_DEC13_TRQXM455
Searching for "SHINE" only does not return the above issue
However, if you search for "SHINE*" of the full summary it will return it.
