Like other users I have the problem that when upgrading Jira using the Installer it does not apply changes of certain file like server.xml, setenv.sh etc. While it is not a big issue to apply those changes manually I always need to wait for the Installer to finish the upgrade and for Jira to finish the initial Startup until I can securely shutdown Jira again and apply my changes. This is really annoying. I would rather prefer if the installer had an option that request if the user wants to autostart Jira or not. Thanks.
