      Coming from a dedicated customer:

      We are migrating from OnDemand shortly and we would like to have something like the application navigator in our instance.

      As seen, the Application Navigator is currently only available in Atlassian OnDemand and Confluence 5.0.

      I am filing this here to document it as a feature request by our customers.

      Workaround

      After contacting the developers of the Unified Navigation Plugin, it seems this might be a valid workaround. However, it would not know of the context; once switching from JIRA to Confluence you would be navigated to the Dashboard.
