    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

The attachments POST resource in the REST API (http://docs.atlassian.com/jira/REST/latest/#id255514) takes a file argument that contains the data, but no other parameters such as:

      attachment filename
      attachment creation date
      attachment author

This means that attachments added this way appear ugly - just a long filename and no author or date. The long filename is the name of the file as it was on my local machine, e.g. "/Users/mdoar/..."

Why would I use this REST resource anyway? CSV import of attachments into OnDemand was not working so I to upload the attachments separately.
