The following scenario results in a cycle being reported where there is none. The left side is the name of the filter. The right side is the JQL for the filter.

Common: project = TEST
Unresolved: filter = Common and resolution is empty
Resolved: filter = Common and filter != Unresolved
To produce bug, now create a new search for: filter = Resolved

This will report a cycle, even though there is clearly no cycle.

This has rendered our sophisticated set of filters inoperative and is quite frustrating.
