Ampersand Does Not Render Appropriately in View Issue Screen

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new custom field of type User Picker. Name this custom field, R&D Reporter.
2. Add this custom field to the Default Issue Screen.
3. Create a new issue and fill up the field with a user's name.
4. Once the issue is created, go to the issue. The field's name would be rendered as R&D Reporter. See the screenshot below:
   

This problem only occurs in 4.4 as the problem is not reproducible in 4.3.4 and below.
