We need to select which customers are affected by a given issue, from a list of over 400 customer names.

We are currently using a "Multi Select" custom field for this, but it is really hard to use, if you're trying to search through 400 entries, and at the same time, avoiding to unselect customers from the list.

We would like to have a "generic multi value picker" custom field to do this, instead of using the "Multi Select" type, The behavior of the existing multi picker field types seems to be the easiest and safest to use for what we need.

Jira has pickers for "Group Picker", "Multi Group Picker", "Multi User Picker", "Project Picker", "Single Version Picker", "User Picker", and "Version Picker", but not a "Generic Multi Value Picker"...

I've looked in forums, plugins, and this projects for similar requests. I did not find any.

Can you add a "Generic Multi Value Picker" custom field type to jira? Or, is there a plugin that implements it?
