    Description

From SAC it looks like users often assume that the Standalone release can't be used for production installations.

I want to have the data running through our (daily backed-up) database.

I quote the following page, which are the exact reasons why I want to connect it to our company's database over using the HQSLDB: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA041/Connecting+JIRA+to+a+Database

"As part of its installation process, JIRA Standalone automatically installs, configures and connects itself to an HSQLDB database. This is fine for evaluation purposes, however HSQLDB is prone to database corruption. For production installations, we strongly recommend that you connect JIRA to an enterprise database. This also lets you take advantage of existing database backup and recovery procedures. "

Can I connect to our MS SQL 2005 DB with the "standalone" JIRA? I was under the impression it could only run HSQLD
