      Hi everyone,

      Thank you for your insights and thoughts on this issue.

      With the change in Oracle support structure, we've decided to move forward with providing support for OpenJDK 11 across all Server products.

      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently Supported Platforms doesn't list of any vendors of JDK that we support/test our application with.

      Based on our bad experience with the IBM's JDK JRA-19379 we should test OpenJDK and update our documentation accordingly.

      OpenJDK becomes more popular due to its availability in linux editions. It would be worth giving some guidelines to our customers to help them avoid possible disappointments.

      FYI. Confluence according to the Supported Platforms page supports only Sun JDK.
