We have a number of users who use Microsoft Excel to generate reports on issues stored in JIRA. We currently have two options for getting issue data from JIRA to Excel.

1) we export search results to excel file and import into Excel
2) we create a Web Query in excel using URL to JIRA printable view

The users prefer option 2 as they can just refresh the Excel Web Query and rerun their macros to update the Excel based reports. The only issue with option 1 is that the user needs to copy the URL from JIRA, create a new spreadsheet and web query manually. It would be nice if JIRA had option to create a new spreadsheet with embedded Web Query from the JIRA Issue Navigator.
