NullPointerException when entering a bad sorter/field parameter in the URL of the Printable view link

Execute a search in JIRA and the visit the URL:
http://localhost:8090/jira/sr/jira.issueviews:searchrequest-printable/temp/SearchRequest.html?sorter/field=invalidField&sorter/order=DESC&tempMax=1000
(notice invalidField in the URL)

JIRA will return a 500 page with a NullPointerException.

Now, nothing in JIRA should generate a link like this (although maybe if its an old link with a field that has been removed?), but should the returned page be more friendly?
