Description
A database MSSQL database DBA became confused with our MSSSQL 2005 instructions http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/docs/latest/databases/sqlserver.html as outlined in JSP-19303.
The main problem is that the took "schema" to mean the traditional DB term http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Database_schema rather than the MSSQL 2005 definition. We probably just need to clarify what is said.
Maybe something like:
3. Create an empty schema (e.g. jiraschema) in the database for the JIRA tables. A schema is a new security object introduced in SQL Server 2005. Please consult Microsoft's documentation for information on how to create a schema in SQL Server 2005.
NOTE: You should only create an empty schema, you do not need to create any of JIRA's tables, fields or relationships. JIRA will create these database objects in your empty schema when it starts up for the first time.
Come and grab me if you have any questions.
Regards,
Brenden.
