    Description

      When importing data into Jira from other systems we need to be able to set the creation date. A parameter exists and can be set by XML/RPC and SOAP clients but, most unfortunately, the parameter is ignored by Jira.

      It is possible to set the issue creation date via JellyScript so surely it should also be possible via XML/RPC and SOAP.

      This issue is critical as my company (Thales) is planning to migrate to Jira and needs to import data from other systems.
