Problem Definition

Currently, in JIRA Advanced Roadmaps you can only Configure Shared Team Permissions to users or groups in a Global permission level. This configuration does not suit the Enterprise level due to the permission can't scale to restrict multiple clients (more than 100+ clients). This setting is at instance level and only suitable for small instance or set of small number of teams belongs to one account/department.

Suggested Solution

I would recommend you to see this issue from large enterprise data security requirement aspect (not what Atlassian build for small teams). We are having multiple clients who are competitor to each other and we can't make one client shared teams visible to other clients.

Even share team feature is not identical to other JIRA project configurations i.e. we can restrict custom fields, screens, workflows, permission scheme at project level. It is a choice of jira-admin to decide which project should use which configuration. I am wondering - how Atlassian ignored enterprise data security/scale requirements.
