    Description

      Some teams have a non-conventional hierarchy:

      • Program Epic --> Program Feature --> Product Feature --> Product Epic --> [DEFINED TEAM]
        • DEFINED TEAM = Story --> Subtask
          • Story = Story, Bug, Improvement, Task, Technical Debt

      Teams like this would like a way to differentiate same issue types at different issue levels of the hierarchy by using JQL or some other mechanism.

      Example as shown above: Program Epic and Product Epic both use the same issue type “Epic” but they are at different levels of the hierarchy. Currently, there is no way to differentiate between the two when configuring the hierarchy.
