1 vote for this feature. It's available in the Data Centre version of Jira and we've been making good use of it in a last few months to review our portfolio across 18 teams. We are currently targeting to move to the cloud version only to discover that this feature isn't in the cloud version.
+1 vote for this issue as we have teams who are currently dependant on the Jira for DC roadmaps program view. Discrepancies like this mean we now have to tell the team that this key feature is disappearing since we are migrating to Jira Cloud...
As there are 153 voters for this issue, what is the threshold to get it implemented? Isn't it obvious enough for Atlassian that this feature has high value to existing customers and will potentially even bring you new customers?
The more we try to use Jira as a foundation for running our customer projects the more of these long standing limitations I become aware of. Every time we encounter one of these limitations it requires a lot of analysis to find work-arounds that usually don't fully provide what we need or introduce inefficiency onto teams.
We are trying to standardize on using Jira as a planning tool, but when I went to explore how to get a program view I find that Jira has this functionality for years, but hasn't included into the Cloud version of the product.
This is the third issue of this type I've encountered in the last three months and it seems to signal that either we are outgrowing the platform or that Jira's roadmap is not really focused on the needs of companies like ours.
It's mind boggling to me the number of discrepancies between Jira Cloud and Jira on-prem. We're evaluating Portfolio at the moment and not having the full product is frustrating and confusing. And that's for the technical staff that's responsible for configuring and administrating the product. For management, every one of these issues is a chance for us to re-evaluate our investment in Atlassian products.
