As a user, I'd like to avoid duplicates when copying attachment from linked issues using the Edit issue fields action

Problem Definition

Currently coping attachments from linked, parent or subtask issues duplicates attachments that have already been added every time it is executed, because it adds all the attachments in source to what already exists in target.

As a user, I'd like to avoid duplicates when copying attachment from linked issues using the Edit issue fields action.

Suggested Solution

There are different ways we could implement this, but perhaps one suggestion is to:

• Provide the option to overwrite all the existing attachments in target with the attachments on the copy source issue.

Potential Workaround:

This might not be very "efficient" way of dealing with this. However, until an official feature, this way could work around and meet the requirement by removing the duplicate attachments problem:

Just add an Action of Delete attachments (all attachments) before the Edit Issue "Copy Attachment from Trigger Issue".

PLEASE NOTE: This would delete all attachments from the linked issues before copying the attachments from the "parent" issue. That means, if you add an attachment only on the linked issue and not on the "parent" - subsequent trigger of this Automation rule will delete the "child-only" attachment.
