Issue Summary
There's a scenario where users need to migrate portal-only customer account to Atlassian Account. However, it is not possible.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Sandbox
- Copy the data from production to Sandbox
- Try to migrate one of the portal only customers to Atlassian Account by clicking "Migrate to Atlassian Account"
Expected Results
Atlassian Account gets created, and the portal-only customer automatically set to "Inactive". All issue that involved to the portal only customer account previously will automatically change to the new Atlassian Account.
Actual Results
The Atlassian Account is created, but from the UI, the admin will get "Something went wrong" error. On top of that, the portal-only customer still remains Active.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
Notes
The same behavior when trying to delete the Portal-only customer. The same error was displayed, and the account has not been deleted.

Could you please clarify what is considered a bug here? When customers are copied from production, the expected behaviour is that the directory id would not match.
