New User Email Not Being Sent When Creating New Users on A Browser With The Lastpass or the Ad Block Edge Extension Installed

Customers have reported that when creating a new email within the OnDemand User Management page with the Email a link to the user to set their password option checked the email is not being sent.

After investigating at least one customer pointed out that the browser extension Lastpass was causing issues with the javascript on the page and that was resulting on on the email not being sent. We have customers who reported that the Ad Block Edge and the 1password extensions cause the same issue.

Atlassian support is currently investigating if any other extensions could be causing this as well. Both Chrome and Internet Explorer 11 seem to be affected, it’s yet to be confirmed if other browsers are being affected as well.

      Steps to reproduce

      1. Have an OnDemand instance
      2. Have either Chrome or Internet Explorer 11 with Lastpass
      3. Create user in User Management
        • Make sure 'Email a link to the user to set their password' is selected
      4. Invitation email is not sent

      Workaround
Either disable those extensions before creating new users or perform this operation using Inconito/Private browsing mode so any extensions that could be causing this are disabled.

If you - as an admin - have chosen to remember your own password upon JIRA login, it will POST this very same password as well when creating a new user.
When I create a new account in JIRA and have chosen to remember my own password it will POST the following variables:

            {"email":"emailaddress@goeshere.nl","display-name":"Test (ignore)","name":"test","active":"","password":{"value":"****************"},"applications":["cadc8a2a-1d22-3ada-93bc-ea8c718e7432"]}

The *** password contains my own password!

Creating an account in Incoginito mode or after removing the saved password in Firefox (Firefox preferences -> Security -> Saved Password... -> Remove http://ondemand.atlassian.net) it will POST the above variables except for the password field. As a result I receive a confirmation email.

Probably Firefox is confused because of the same input field names (and thus assumes the admin password is used for the newly created account). It would be awesome if you send out a confirmation email if the checkbox is set eventhough a password is received.

I have same issue on Chrome w/ 1password extension enabled.
I can avoid this issue by using Incognito mode.

I assume you can easily reduce this issue happening by adding explanatory comment on account creation page.
