    Description

scenario: we have 30 developers on my team that use Google redant.com.au Apps to log in. We also have about 300 customers that have Jira Studio accounts, most of whom also have personal Google accounts

I have yet to hear a customer that is able to log in themselves- any new person always tries to log in via the Google log in. They then get sent to our Google Apps log in page, and try to reset their passwords and get generally confused. I regularly get feedback about how complicated Jira is to use, and then find out it is because they've never actually got past this screen.

I think it is a reasonable assumption that, seeing the Google logo and "log in provider" means you can log in with your Google account.

      issue:
The OnDemand log in page is confusing:

      • there is no explanation that by "log in using your google account" means that this will only work if you have a redant.com.au google account
      • it is not evident that clicking on the OnDemand (?) icon, there is a separate way of logging in
      • there is no help or any kind of assistance on this page.
      • I realise the new Oct release layout looks prettier, but it doesn't address the core issue that for a simple page it is pretty confusing. It has made a confusing page harder to understand

      To fix

      • allow some text on that page that an admin can configure - then we have a chance of explaining
      • even better, have some way of setting the default log in provider (or default to OnDemand instead of Google)
