I would like to use my business Active Directory identity to authenticate to my Atlassian OnDemand environment. I could indirectly do this via the Atlassian OnDemand Google Apps SSO support. This would be an expensive route since my company does not currently use or plan to use Google Apps. Offering an on-premise or hosted CROWD to Atlassian OnDemand CROWD connection would be a better solution. A logical alternative might be a CROWD Directory Sync plugin to Atlassian OnDemand (similar in concept to the Google Apps Directory Sync - GADS)built by Atlassian or a 3rd party using the new/beta plugin framework. Unfortunately, I see no evidence of an existing, planned or requested plugin. This improvement suggestion is similar to AOD-3397

dragos.onac, Atlassian at this present point in time have no plans to support the connecting of a companies behind the firewall Crowd server to a customers Atlassian Cloud instance. However, there a medium term plans to support firstly SAML as an identity provider to have full user integration in Cloud with a companies internal identity provider.
The only option that is currently available to you if it is strategically important to keep both your Cloud users and corporate user in-sync would be to use Google Apps. Google Apps provides the ability to directly link up to an LDAP server, once this is done you can configure your Cloud instance to connect with Google Apps. I know this is not ideal in any way, but unfortunately it is the only option available today. But please know, Atlassian critically recognises the importance of linking a companies corporate identity provider to our Cloud products and we are actively working on the infrastructure to support this requirement.
