we'd really benefit for read-only room functionality in HipChat server for important announcements, which can be broadcasted to the room members, but at the same time it's protected from the message overload/pollution. If the role can be create as read only and read write message it would be ideal; if only read only can be created, that would also do as we could send broadcasts via API push notification.
