      Problem Definition

      The Redis client library used in Hipchat Data Center doesn't support connecting to multiple Redis nodes in a Sentinel cluster.

      Suggested Solution

      Support connecting to at least three nodes in a Redis Sentinel cluster

      Workaround

      Implement a single point of entry to a Redis Sentinel cluster via a load balancer.

      Notes

      The Atlassian will update the deployment documentation and make it clear that the Redis Sentinel cluster has to be fronted with a TCP load balancer.
