      Overview

      While we currently only have the method to send message to rooms / 1-1 conversations as mentioned in the HipChat API Reference page under the ROOMS API and USERS API:

      • /v2/room/ {room_id_or_name}

        /message

      • /v2/user/ {id_or_email}

        /message

      However, we do not have a specific API to delete message that was sent to the room / 1-1 conversation

      Suggestion

      Technically, it will be difficult for users to delete messages unless they know which ID it is tied to. Perhaps we can have a method to just delete the last message sent / last 10 messages sent / all messages?

            Slack can do this.

            I would very much appreciate this feature, as well as others in my organization. For example, I have some chunks of messages in some of our rooms in HipChat which I would like to delete for privacy concerns, but it is impractical and very tedious to go through these messages manually. I would prefer a more efficient way to erase these messages, which can be achieved through the API.
