With multiple rooms/chats one typically navigates quickly between rooms by using the little arrow in the channel list that indicates that there are new messages in a room above or below. But then the current/last chat room scrolls out of view and it is extremely hard to get back to it since nothing tells you which room it was! Even when there are few channels and one actively clicks on them it is hard enough to remember which room one was just typing/reading in.

It is frankly unbelievable that HipChat has no navigation history, and no back/forward buttons to navigate between recently visited rooms. That's such a basic function for any browser-like tool! Please add this promptly, as using the tool for actual work is seriously impossible without it.

It is a very common scenario that I have a conversation ongoing - either a private chat or a group chat - and that I need to check on some new messages in another room, but then want to continue that conversation. We have dozens of rooms on our server, and there are several dozen people I regularly chat with, so my room list is super-long, and finding the one I was conversing in is really hard, as they're not sorted in any way, nor is a recently active one highlighted. It's overall a really crummy experience
