Linux client notifications are unreadable/distorted

Summary

Desktop notification is unreadable when receiving messages.

Environment

• Ubuntu 16.10.1 LTS
• Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial

Steps to Reproduce

1. Have another HipChat user sends you a message with pop-up notification enabled

Expected Results

Desktop notification is received as normal

Actual Results

Desktop notification is received, however, the notification received is unreadable and the message can't be read

Notes

• Applying hipchat4 --disable-gpu does not seem to improve the result.
• Support is not able to reproduce the result. If you have any additional information, please do share with us and our team will proceed with the investigation
