Regression from Greenhopper 3.x - No way to manually refresh the list of issues without a full browser refresh

Greenhopper 3.x had the option to click 'refresh' in task board or planning board. Now the only option is 'auto refresh' which is unusable for most cases since it repaints the entire screen when you least expect it. Refresh at least let you manually decide when to update the display. Now we need to refresh the entire browser tab to get it to display which takes much more time than the greenhopper 'refresh' option we loved. This slows down our meetings.
