Data truncation when save Kanban board sub-filter length larger than 255 characters

    XMLWordPrintable

    Details

      Description

We need to use board sub-filter length larger then 255 characters because it contains some user names, statuses and labels. But current version of JIRA Agile declares sub-filters as

      CREATE TABLE [jira].[AO_60DB71_SUBQUERY](
      	[ID] [bigint] IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
      	[QUERY] [varchar](255) NULL,
      	[RAPID_VIEW_ID] [bigint] NULL,
      	[SECTION] [varchar](255) NOT NULL,
       CONSTRAINT [pk_AO_60DB71_SUBQUERY_ID] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
      (
      	[ID] ASC
      )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
      ) ON [PRIMARY]

Will you able to make QUERY field type ntext in next version?
      Like for searchrequest table.

      CREATE TABLE [jira].[searchrequest](
      	[ID] [numeric](18, 0) NOT NULL,
      	[filtername] [nvarchar](255) NULL,
      	[authorname] [nvarchar](255) NULL,
      	[DESCRIPTION] [ntext] NULL,
      	[username] [nvarchar](255) NULL,
      	[groupname] [nvarchar](255) NULL,
      	[projectid] [numeric](18, 0) NULL,
      	[reqcontent] [ntext] NULL,
      	[FAV_COUNT] [numeric](18, 0) NULL,
      	[filtername_lower] [nvarchar](255) NULL,
       CONSTRAINT [PK_searchrequest] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED
      (
      	[ID] ASC
      )WITH (PAD_INDEX = OFF, STATISTICS_NORECOMPUTE = OFF, IGNORE_DUP_KEY = OFF, ALLOW_ROW_LOCKS = ON, ALLOW_PAGE_LOCKS = ON) ON [PRIMARY]
      ) ON [PRIMARY] TEXTIMAGE_ON [PRIMARY]
