Searching Removed Text from a Perforce Repository Yields No Results

When searching files in a perforce repository for "Removed Text", no results are returned.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Ensure "Store Diff Info" is selected in the repository settings.
2. Commit a text file to the perforce repository.
3. Remove some text from the file.
4. Commit the change.
5. Use Simple Search to find the removed text using the "Removed Text" box.

Notes:
Confirmed this works with git and subversion.
