500 error when adding repository to FishEye of conflicting name in different case

When users attempts to add repository to FishEye with a name of repository already defined, there is error message presented as expected.
But it only works if repository name was in the same case, see

If user provided conflicting repository name in different case, cryptic 500 error is displayed instead:

Workaround

• Always specify a non-existing name when adding a repository.
