    Description

Many users run FishEye on repositories containing languages other than Java and would like to be able to define a custom colour/color highlighting scheme to make code more readable.

Your own products are launched and managed via shell scripts. Surely someone reviewed those?!

the previous ticket 921 was closed saying "The format is not currently documented but it should not be too difficult to derive from the existing def files."

Sorry @Conor McNeil [Atlassian] - but that is bogus.

Its clear that the files use some sort of sed like regexp to find matching keywords, but whats all the business about contexts, and different types of keywords, comments, identification, string, etc.

There is a serious need to get this together. Support for 8 filetypes is weak.
Even free notepad tools like np++, vim, gedit, jedit, etc, etc support hundreds.

Please spend 2 hours and update the current documentation to contain more then a code snippet.
